For Second Consecutive Year, Cure Alzheimer’s Fund Receives Highest Rating from Charity Navigator
Cure Alzheimer’s Fund has been awarded the highest rating for sound fiscal management and commitment to accountability and transparency by Charity Navigator, the country’s largest and most-utilized independent evaluator of charities.
For the second consecutive year, Charity Navigator has awarded Cure Alzheimer’s Fund an “exceptional” rating of four stars out of a possible four, demonstrating adherence to good governance and fiscal responsibility. Only 16 percent of charities have received at least two consecutive four star evaluations, indicating that Cure Alzheimer’s Fund outperforms most other charities in America.
“Cure Alzheimer’s Fund co-founders Henry McCance, Phyllis Rappaport, Jacqui Morby and Chairman Jeff Morby provide the kind of exceptional leadership needed to tackle Alzheimer’s disease” says president and CEO Tim Armour. “Their commitment to the cause – covering all administrative expenses - has made it possible to put every donation directly to research.”
Receiving four out of a possible four stars indicates that your organization adheres to good governance and other best practices that minimize the chance of unethical activities and consistently executes its mission in a fiscally responsible way,” says Ken Berger, president and chief executive officer of Charity Navigator.

Cure Alzheimer’s Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2004 by three families frustrated by the slow pace of Alzheimer’s research and by the cumbersome, risk-averse bureaucracies hindering our best scientists. Leveraging their experience in venture capital and corporate start-ups, Henry McCance, Phyllis Rappaport, and Jacqui and Jeff Morby came together to build a new venture-based Alzheimer’s research fund designed to dramatically accelerate research, make bold bets and focus deeply on finding a cure. They recruited renowned Alzheimer’s geneticist Rudy Tanzi and asked him to put together a “dream team” of the world’s best Alzheimer’s scientists, and to help them fund the biggest and boldest ideas without bureaucratic hesitation or deference to politics.
Cure Alzheimer’s Fund focuses the best scientific minds in the industry, and does so scrupulously and without any financial gain for its founders, donors or researchers. The goal of Cure Alzheimer’s Fund is to stop the disease before it even strikes, with early prediction and prevention. Please join us in our quest for a cure.
