Cure Alzheimer's Fund Featured on WBUR Alzheimer's series

WBUR, Boston’s NPR radio station, is running a week-long series on Alzheimer’s Oct. 18-21 titled “Fade to Darkness: The Age of Alzheimer’s.”

Dr. Tanzi featured expert on Alzheimer’s Genome Project on Curiosity.com

Dr. Rudolph Tanzi, Chair of the Cure Alzheimer’s Fund Research Consortium, is now featured on the Discovery Channel-based website Curiosity.com. Tanzi provides answers to numerous questions posed by Curiosity with the intention of informing the public about Alzheimer’s disease and the Alzheimer’s Genome Project.

Maria Pugliese's El Cruce de los Andes Run 2/2/2012

On February 3, most of us will get up and go to work. It may be a tough day; it may even be an exciting day. But on February 3, US native Maria Pugliese will wake up in Chile, where she and her running partner will run across the Andes Mountains for 3 days. And while her finish line is 60 miles away in Argentina, her ultimate destination is helping to find a cure for Alzheimer’s disease. This run is a find-raising project for her as well.

Dr. Tanzi to Receive Chopra Foundation Award

Dr. Rudolph Tanzi, Chair of Cure Alzheimer's Fund Research Consortium, will be receiving The Chopra Foundation's 2012 Spirit of Rustum Roy Award for "making major contributions to the scientific understanding of consciousness and helping to move humanity towards a just, sustainable, healthy and peaceful world."

Dr. Tanzi, along with two others, will be awarded in March by Dr. Deepak Chopra of The Chopra Foundation.

Research and Revenue Surge at the end of 2011

Cure Alzheimer’s Fund had a surge of research proposals during the last quarter of 2011 and very early in the first quarter of 2012.  Prior to November, 2011, Cure Alzheimer’s Fund had received and supported fourteen proposals for a total value of $1,852,500. Then in the last few weeks of the year and the first week of the next year, we reviewed five more and expect two or three more before the end of January for a total value approximating another $1.5 million.
 

Successful Bostonians Reveal Their Secrets To A Healthy Life

The Boston Globe recently ran a story on the healthy habits of some of Boston's most successful--and busy-- residents. Highlighted in the article are Robert Lander, Daniel Lieberman, Drew Faust, Sanjiv Chopra and Cure Alzheimer's Fund's Dr. Rudy Tanzi.
