Is Cure Alzheimer’s Fund a nonprofit organization?
Yes. The foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization designated by the Internal Revenue Code with federal tax ID #52-2396428.
Is Cure Alzheimer's Fund the same thing as the Alzheimer's Disease Research Foundation?
Yes. Our official name is the Alzheimer's Disease Research Foundation, and our doing-business-as name is Cure Alzheimer's Fund.
Checks made out to either of these names will be accepted.
How much money has the foundation given to research so far?
To date, we have funded more than $22 million in research, either directly or through partnerships.
How much of the money donated actually goes to research?
100 percent of all donations support research. The administrative costs of Cure Alzheimer's Fund are underwritten by the organization’s founders.
How can I apply for a grant?
In general, we do not accept unsolicited proposals. With our limited resources, we try to keep the focus on a narrow range of research as described in our Research Roadmap. For further details, please visit our Grant Inquiries page.
Can I make a donation in memory or in honor of someone?
Yes. It’s a wonderful thing to do. To make a memorial or honorarium gift, simply include the name of the deceased or honoree and anyone you wish to be notified of the gift when making your donation.
