Joe Kowalski, 21, is a YouTuber, writer, actor and indie filmmaker from the Cleveland area. “Every time I make a film and have a local premiere, we give people the option to donate to a specific charity,” explained Joe. This year he selected Cure Alzheimer’s Fund. “I love the good work the organization does and that 100 percent of donations goes directly to research. One of the characters in our newest film—“Prism”—has a form of dementia, so we thought it would be a nice tie-in,” he said. “While Alzheimer’s does not run in my family as far as I know, some of my closest friends and relatives’ loved ones suffer from it.” Understandably, it’s a cause he wanted to get behind.
