So why a musical fundraiser and what is Remember When? Research has shown that music has a pronounced effect upon the brain, especially for people with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. In fact, for people with Alzheimer’s listening to music from their early adult years has been shown to stimulate mental activity and effect positive mood changes. Remember When attempts to do just that while empowering people to use music in the treatment of the disease, all the while benefiting important research. As an audience, you’ll track a twenty-something's journey toward self-discovery and renewal using music made popular during her grandmother's past. Remember When was designed with people with Alzheimer’s in mind, but it’s a show that engages everyone in the fight against the disease. Whether you’re young or young at heart, have been directly, indirectly or perhaps not at all affected by Alzheimer’s, love music or just enjoy supporting an important cause, this show is for you.

Remember When is an original, one-woman show featuring four  accomplished musicians from the esteemed New England Conservatory. The story line is simple, yet heartwarming, entertaining and humorous. The music, stimulating,  enchanting. What’s more, renowned Harvard professor and CAF researcher, author musician and songwriter, Dr. Rudolph Tanzi will be on hand presenting a pre-show talk about recent advancements in research and the power of music in treating Alzheimer’s disease.

Connecting with CAF has proven to be the perfect fit. They understand the power of music in treating Alzheimer’s and are leaders in funding research. I was especially impressed by CAF’s high ratings as a charity – 100% of the money they receive goes toward funding critical, breakthrough research.

One hundred percent of the money raised at the show will be donated to CAF. So come out to support Remember When as it joins in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease. Be a part of funding research that will help millions of people be able to say again, I Remember When.
