Allen Abraham Namian

Allen “Al” Abraham Namian passed peacefully March 6, 2017. 

Allen was born November 16, 1932 in Bridgeport, CT to George and Ethel (Mull) Namian.  He graduated from Bassick High School and the University of Bridgeport (CT). He married Janet Massey and served in the United States Army.  Allen had a long career as a Sales Representative for building materials in the Tri-state New York area, and was one of the leading representatives in his region. Al was an avid sailor and a member of the Fayerweather Yacht Club. He enjoyed skiing, sailing, riding his motorcycle, and was  very active playing drums for several area bands.

Allen is survived by his sons, Glenn Namian of Cincinnati, OH, Jeffrey Namian of Bloomfield, NJ, wife Janet Namian of Trumbull, CT,  grandchildren, Morgan Namian of Cambridge, MA, Garrett Namian of New York City, NY,  sister in law Esther Namian of Washington, DC and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers George and Douglas and his parents George and Ethel Namian. 
 
A celebration of life will be scheduled for late Spring by invitation only.  
 
He will be interned in Arlington National Cemetery, date to be determined.
