Gail joined Cure Alzheimer’s Fund in September, 2017 in the role of Science Communicator. Gail is trained in cognitive neuroscience. She received her B.A. from Clark University, completed her Ph.D. at UC Berkeley and was a post-doctoral fellow at UC San Diego conducting research on memory disorders. She was also on the faculty at Barnard College, Columbia University and Harvard Medical School.
Gail spent 15 years at the Joslin Diabetes Center and received funding from NIH and non-profit organizations for research projects on the link between Alzheimer’s disease and diabetes.
Alzheimer’s disease also plays a personal role in her life as both her mother and mother-in-law suffered from dementia.
