We propose a focused program that will allow us to plan expanded in vivo characterization of the efficacy of novel compounds called “molecular tweezers,” which modulate the aberrant assembly process using a heretofore-unexplored “process-specific” mechanism towards development of disease-modifying therapy for AD and related diseases.
