In memory of their grandmother, Kathy Locherer, Nate and Jarrett Nagengast organized a yard sale with a lemonade stand to drive donations for the purpose of funding research for a cure of Alzheimer’s disease. Nate is 14 years old and sitting next to the lemonade stand; Jarrett is 16 and organized the sale.
A note from the family: “The garage sale was a lot of work and a great experience. We were so touched by all the teachers and staff from Bay Shore High School and JFK Elementary School who donated so many items and also for the jogger who stopped and handed us $20 for the cause. We pray that you help find a cure for this dreadful disease. It destroys so many lives!”
