Isabella DiBerardino

Graduate Student, University of British Columbia

Isabella DiBerardino is a Master’s student in the Graduate Program in Neuroscience at the University of British Columbia. As a trainee in Dr. Cheryl Wellington’s lab, her research focuses on establishing reference intervals for blood-based neurological biomarkers (i.e., BD-tau and p-tau217). She earned her B.Sc. (Honors) in Psychology from Algoma University in 2024, where she developed a deep interest in brain health and neurodegeneration. Her work aims to enhance the clinical translation of neurological biomarkers by creating population-level standards to improve early detection, diagnosis, and monitoring of conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease. Isabella DiBerardino is passionate about connecting research and clinical practice to advance care for individuals at risk of neurodegenerative disorders.
