Third Annual Running 4 Answers Road Race

Posted February 6, 2012

On Saturday morning, April 28, co-founders Carolyn Mastrangelo and Barbara Geiger will hold the third annual Running 4 Answers fundraiser on the tree-lined streets of historic Roseland and Essex Fells, N.J. This four-mile race/two-mile fun run/walk brings families together to honor loved ones whom they have lost to Alzheimer’s and helps raise money toward finding a cure. The event is sanctioned by USATrack & Field–New Jersey.

Last year, Carolyn said in the event’s opening remarks “You have no idea what Alzheimer’s does until it hits someone you love…Before my mom got this horrible disease, I thought of it as the “key‐losing” disease. When you had Alzheimer’s, you couldn’t find your keys. While it may start that way, it goes so far beyond that…Today, while you are out on the course, think of those you love. Remember those who may not remember you. Be inspired by your own ability to do whatever you deem important enough to do.”

Last year, Running 4 Answers raised $30,000 for Cure Alzheimer’s Fund, and the organization has raised $55,000 to date. We thank Carolyn and Barbara for their tireless dedication to our cause. To register and/or donate, visit www.running4answers.org.
