Move for Minds on Saturday, May 21 will bring together women and men in six cities across the country to use their bodies and their minds to raise awareness and money to support research on women’s brains and Alzheimer’s disease. As a part of this event, attendees will participate in a 45 minute yoga class, 45 minutes of all-levels cardiovascular fitness and guided meditation and explore a marketplace featuring some of the biggest names in food, innovation, science, fitness and well-being. The event will last three hours and take place at Equinox Sports Clubs from 2-5 pm in Boston, New York, Washington, DC, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Irvine.
All participants will raise money, at least $250 each, through their networks. 100% of the money raised by participants of Move for Minds will support gender-based research at the partner organizations of The Women’s Alzheimer’s Challenge, including Cure Alzheimer’s Fund. Prizes will be awarded to the biggest fundraiser in each city. Move for Minds is presented by Maria Shriver and Equinox Sports Clubs and is an initiative of A Woman’s Nation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
