Peter Collins Ruscitto

Peter was raised in Braintree Massachusetts by parents Peter G. and Louiza Ruscitto, with his sister Elizabeth “Ibby” (Ruscitto) Lizardo.  He attended Thayer Academy and later The New Hampton School before attending college at Dennison University.  In his early years, he enjoyed a love of sports, particularly hockey, water skiing, soccer, and track.  He attended Camp Burgess on Cape Cod, where he would become the water skiing instructor at a young age, later the waterfront director and finally camp director. Postgraduate he devoted his life to his family and teaching, coaching and managing the finances for various New England private schools. First at the Rectory School (Pomfret, CT), then Charles River School (Dover, MA) and finally Friends Academy (North Dartmouth, MA).  He touched many young lives both in the classroom and on the playing fields.  A dedicated family man, he found the love of his life in his wife Sarah of 39 years while working at the Charles River School.  The two began a beautiful family, residing in Norfolk, MA raising three children, David, Louisa, and Matthew.  He shared with them his love of skating and sportsmanship and was a constant on the sidelines at all their sporting events, never missing a game. He loved spending time on Cape Cod, first with his parents and sister and later with his wife and children. They spent many lovely summers together in Harwich Port, MA, swimming, biking, reading and enjoying each other’s company.  Peter was a kind, loving, compassionate person who loved his family and will be dearly missed.
