Jo Ann Palazzolo, 73, of The Villages, FL, passed away on 02/18/2022 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Jo Ann was born on October 28, 1948, to Joseph and Pauline Savoia in Brooklyn, NY. One of her first jobs was at Fairchild, but she would eventually go on to have a successful career in accounting. Her first marriage was to John Fragola. They had 3 children together and ultimately decided to divorce. As a single mother, she found herself working for the defense department at Grumman to support her 3 children. Shortly after she met and married Bob Palazzolo and they went on to have one child together. Jo Ann believed in tough love and taught her 4 children to be strong and independent. She loved fiercely and stood by Bob’s side until the end. Jo Ann loved Italian food and enjoyed her sweets. She could often be found dancing in the Village Square and playing pickleball, where she lived in Florida. We will miss her greatly. Jo Ann was preceded in death by Joseph Savoia, Pauline Savoia, Emil Savoia, and Bob Palazzolo. She is survived by children Greg Fragola, Theresa DiFiore, Jeannette Fragola, and Paul Palazzolo by grandchildren Eric Fragola, Kayla Hayes, Adam Fragola, Sammy DiFiore, Melanie DiFiore, Allyson DiFiore, and Nicholas Palazzolo. The family would prefer donations be made to Cure Alzheimer’s Fund in lieu of flowers.
