Joan Crosby Aaron Eiker, 93, died on September 3, 2026, while receiving hospice care in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania. Born on April 17, 1933, in Norwalk, Connecticut, Mrs. Eiker was the daughter of the late Homes Aaron and the late Alice Wyman Scott.
As a child, Mrs. Eiker and her family lived in several places, including New York City; Norwalk, Connecticut; Battle Mountain, Nevada; Candia, New Hampshire; Block Island, Rhode Island; and Lake Annis, Nova Scotia. She spent most of her adult life in the Cranbury, New Jersey area before moving to Bucks County, Pennsylvania, where she lived for more than a decade. A graduate of Princeton High School, she later worked for the American Red Cross in Princeton, the First Presbyterian Church of Hightstown, and the Municipality of East Windsor.
Mrs. Eiker was an avid reader with a great appreciation for nature. She especially loved spending summers near Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, and winters on Florida’s Gulf Coast.
She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Kenneth E. Eiker, with whom she shared a deeply devoted marriage; a son, Douglas F. Eiker; and two sisters, Polly Aaron Dennison and Andrea Aaron Burke.
Mrs. Eiker is survived by her children, Katherine Eiker Currie of Norfolk, Virginia, and Kenneth J. Eiker (Steve Runk) of Langhorne, Pennsylvania; her sister, Jean Aaron Colpas of Newport News, Virginia; her brother-in-law, Christopher Burke of Roslindale, Massachusetts; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
