His Legacy… John Henry Dailey III, 85, passed away in his home on May 8, 2025 surrounded by his family. He was born on September 30, 1939, in Central Falls, Rhode Island to John and Ruth (Leeming) Dailey. Jack grew up in Rhode Island, where he met his high school sweetheart and future wife, Beth. They were together for nearly 70 years and married for 63. Jack attended the University of Rhode Island where he was an active member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity and graduated with a degree in Industrial Management. He began his career at Owens Illinois, where he worked for nearly two decades. His exceptional leadership and talent for team management provided many career growth opportunities across companies throughout the United States. Jack and Beth moved often and gathered many friends along the way.
Jack was a lifelong learner and pursued many interests outside of work, always eager to include his family. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, woodworking and photography, but sailing was his greatest passion. Whether as a captain or crewing with friends, he was an avid racer and spent time as the Commodore of his Florida sailing club. After retiring, he and Beth cruised along the coast of southern Florida and navigated long trips through the Bahamas on their boat “Cracker Jack”.
His Family… Jack loved unconditionally and will be missed by his beloved wife, Beth Bullard Dailey; his children, Sean (Janine) Dailey, Kim (Tom) Hoffman, Kate Dailey, and Shannon (Katy) Dailey; siblings, Dennis (Margie) Dailey and Mark (Barbara) Dailey; grandchildren, Scott (Katie), Tim (Emily), Jack, Sarah (Will), and Hana; great grandchildren, Penelope, Corinne, Eloise, Helen, and Holden; and many nieces and nephews.
