Patricia Ann Hill, age 77, of Chelsea, Alabama, passed away peacefully at her home in Chelsea on Saturday, August 1, 2026. She was born on March 4, 1949, in Birmingham, Alabama, to Chester and Lannelle Glenn.
Patricia grew up in Hueytown, Alabama, where she graduated from Hueytown High School. She was a devoted and lifelong member of Hueytown Baptist Church. Her faith guided her throughout her life, and her cherished life verse was Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.”
Patricia was married for 58 wonderful years to her loving husband, Leon Hill, and together they built a life centered on faith, family, and unconditional love. Her greatest joy was her family—her children and grandchildren were the heart of her world.
She leaves behind her husband, Leon Hill; her sons Justin Hill and Daniel Hill; daughters in law Stacey Hill and Courtney Hill; and her beloved grandchildren Tess Purkey, John Thomas Hill, Keegan Purkey, Olivia Brian Hill, Harper Hill, Brynlee Hill, and Ford Hill. She is also survived by her siblings Sandy and Malcom Pigford, Marsha and Bob Boozer, and Tommy and Sherry Glenn. Patricia was preceded in death by her father Chester Glenn, her mother Lannelle Glenn, and her eldest son Brian Hill.
Known for her kindness, gentle spirit, and unwavering compassion, Patricia was a faithful friend to many. She had a gift for making everyone she met feel welcomed, loved, and valued. Her legacy is one of grace, generosity, and steadfast devotion to her family.
Service Information
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 6th, at McCalla Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with friends and loved one’s welcome. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m., followed by a graveside service at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Abernant, Alabama. Services will be officiated by Justin Hill. Patricia’s life was a testament to faith, love, and family.
She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew her.
