Virginia L. Coufal, 92, of Hillsboro, IL passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at 2:15 p.m. at Hillsboro Rehab and Health Care Center in Hillsboro, IL. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022 at 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL. Funeral service will be held Friday, September 2, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL. Rev. Frank Hungerford will officiate. Burial will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro, IL.
Mrs. Coufal was born on February 27, 1930 in Beardstown, IL to the late Henry and Mable (Hungerford) Bolton. She was a 1948 graduate of Jacksonville High School in Jacksonville, IL. She married Donald Gayle Coufal on February 4, 1951 at the Methodist Church of Jacksonville, IL; He survives in Hillsboro, IL. Mrs. Coufal had been a book keeper at the Journal News in Hillsboro, IL. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Hillsboro, IL. Mrs. Coufal had lived in Meredosia, IL; Jacksonville, IL; and moved to Hillsboro, IL in 1964.
Along with her husband, Donald Gayle Coufal of Hillsboro, IL, Mrs. Coufal is survived by her children, Lisa (husband, Bruce) Finley of Hillsboro, IL and Terri (husband, Joe) Logsdon of Hillsboro, IL and grandchildren, Sara (husband, Jacob) Province of Swansea, IL & Trevor Guntren of Hillsboro, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Mable (Hungerford) Bolton and her daughter, Karen Lynn Coufal.
