Posted May 11, 2011

The 7 Summits Climb for Alzheimer’s: Memories are Everything is a year-long challenge by mountain climber and Alzheimer’s disease advocate Alan Arnette to scale the 7 summits, the highest peak on each continent. Alan is striving to raise $1 million to advance Alzheimer’s research, and provide support for family caregivers and all those affected by Alzheimer’s disease.

Supporting Alan on this initiative, the Alzheimer’s Immunotherapy Program of Janssen Alzheimer Immunotherapy and Pfizer Inc., are funding Alan’s climbs so that all money he raises from donations will go directly to the organizations he has selected. Those organizations include: Cure Alzheimer’s Fund, for funding breakthrough Alzheimer research, National Family Caregivers Association, to provide support for family caregivers and, the new beneficiary, Alzheimer’s Association to advance awareness, support for those affected, and research.

The collaborative efforts of these organizations have helped raise awareness and financial support for The 7 Summits Climb for Alzheimer’s campaign.
