(New York City, NY) – August 8, 2016 – CaringKind, New York City’s leading expert in Alzheimer’s and dementia care for the past three decades, has formed an alliance with Cure Alzheimer’s Fund, a non-profit dedicated to funding research to prevent, slow, or reverse the disease.

The new care and cure alliance joins together two of the nation’s most respected Alzheimer’s-related non-profit organizations. Based in New York City, CaringKind offers a 24-hour helpline run by professional staff, individual and family counseling sessions with licensed social workers, a vast network of support groups, education seminars and training programs, early stage services, and a wanderer’s safety program. Cure Alzheimer’s Fund is dedicated to funding the most promising research to prevent, slow or reverse Alzheimer’s disease and has contributed over $40 million to such research. Its funded initiatives have been responsible for several key breakthroughs – including the groundbreaking “Alzheimer’s in a Dish” study.

Through this new relationship, individuals and organizations who express an interest to CaringKind about Alzheimer’s research will now have access to the latest information and resources from Cure Alzheimer’s Fund. Conversely, CaringKind will ensure that Cure Alzheimer’s Fund and its supporters have information about and access to critical state of the art caregiving services and programs.
