About Cure Alzheimer’s Philadelphia

In 2012, Cure Alzheimer’s Philadelphia co-founder Cathy Ingham lost her father to Alzheimer’s disease. As Cathy cared for her father and was in desperate search to find something to relieve his symptoms, Cathy came upon the Cure Alzheimer’s Fund. In the months after her father’s death, Cathy felt compelled to do something meaningful in the quest for a cure.

Less than four months earlier, in September 2011, co-founder Bob Difilippo witnessed firsthand the tragic effects of the disease as his mother-in-law succumbed to the effects of early onset Alzheimer’s.

Now in their fourth year of promoting awareness of Alzheimer’s disease and the increasingly exciting work of the Cure Alzheimer’s Fund, Ingham and Difillipo have raised thousands of dollars for research. They hope this year’s golf tournament at Bidermann Golf Course will continue this success.
