Carolyn Mastrangelo and Barbara Geiger have held their annual Running 4 Answers Race and Fun Run in Roseland, New Jersey since 2010. Carolyn’s mom, Patricia Ann Lepofsky, was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s in 1998 at the age of 54, inspiring Carolyn and Barbara to start the event to support research for a cure.
Mrs. Lepofsky passed away in October 2015 from complications due to Alzheimer’s disease. The Running 4 Answers team carries on. Through the years, hundreds of runners and walkers have come together each spring to raise awareness and important research dollars. Since its inception, Running 4 Answers has donated more than $250,000 to Cure Alzheimer’s Fund and to the research that will lead to a cure. We are truly grateful for the extraordinary efforts of these two women and for their unwavering commitment.
