Carolyn was born in Topeka, KS to Walter and Louise Zoeller and was raised in Chicago, Illinois. She attended Longwood Academy in Chicago and graduated from the College of St. Francis in Joliet, IL with a Master’s of Science degree in Nursing. Carolyn married Jeremiah (Jerry) Ring on April 24, 1965, in Chicago, IL. After raising four children, she established a career as a rehabilitation and hospice nurse. Her hobbies included gardening, travel, visiting art museums and attending the symphony and theater.
We are so blessed to have known this woman whether as family or friend or under her care as a nurse. It takes a strong soul to give life and comfort to so many. She was so positive in every way. In later years, she battled the onset of dementia and at times became frustrated but that never broke her spirit. She remained strong and it never got the best of her, never changed the kind and sweet soul we’ve loved as long as we have always known her. It makes us feel better knowing that she was always in our lives, always giving us strength as we navigated the joys and trials in our own lives. Thank you Carolyn, thank you Mom.
