Gloria Gremillion Blanchard passed away on May 30, 2022. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 40 years, Allen Francis Blanchard; her parents, Wade Bernard and Nettie Gremillion and her siblings: Agnes Desselle, Alfred Gremillion and Nettie Warnick. She is survived by her children: Wayne M. Blanchard (Cathy), Kenny J. Blanchard (Dalmer) and Gloria B. Guise (Jim); her grandchildren: Craig, Allen (Nina), Kurt (Leah), Paul (Cara), Jason (Raquel), Janelle, Jennifer (Fiance’ Jared), Amy (Delano) and Heather (Allen); 14 great-grandchildren; and her siblings: Myra Welch and Norman Gremillion. Gloria was a devout Catholic and parishioner of St. Mary Magdalene Church. The family would like to express gratitude to the nurses, interns and staff of Chateau de Notre Dame Nursing Home for their care and compassion during Gloria’s illness. Visitation will be held Monday, June 6, 2022, at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Dr., Metairie, Louisiana 70001 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. A funeral Mass will take place at 11:00 a.m. followed immediately thereafter by interment in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
