Harvey Miller, age 84, a resident of Tyngsborough, passed away peacefully at Lowell General Hospital on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth Eleanor (Murphy) Miller, with whom he enjoyed 59 years of marriage.
Harvey was born in the Bronx, New York, on January 26, 1942, and was the son of the late Murry and Minnie (Lieb) Miller.
Harvey served in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1966, stationed at Fort Bragg with a tour in South Korea, and then from 1966 to 1970 as a US Army Reservist. He went on to earn his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees of Business Administration from Fordham University and was a certified public accountant. Harvey and Eleanor met at Fordham and were married in 1967. Over his career, Harvey played leadership roles at multiple corporations, including Levi’s, Gump’s, and Macmillan Publishing Company. He was a world traveler, for business and pleasure, and shared his lifelong love of music and the arts with his wife and daughters. Harvey held strong beliefs in the importance of civic organizations in civil society, had a lifelong interest in U.S. history, and his generous spirit is reflected in the many charitable organizations he contributed to, including the Anti-Defamation League, Doctors without Borders, the Franciscan Missions, and many organizations providing food and service around the world.
In addition to his loving wife, Harvey is survived by his daughters and daughters in-law, Erin and Seana Miller of Beverly, MA; Alyson Miller and Mary Warren Foulk of Amherst, MA; and Rachel Miller of Providence, RI; his grandchildren, Benjamin Miller, and Grady and June Miller Foulk, his niece Nadine Block, her husband, Patrick Vennebush and their children Alex and Eli; and his nephew Robert Block and Robert’s wife Letty Block. Harvey was predeceased by his sisters, Evelyn Miller and Zelda Block, his brother in-law, Julian Block, and his parents Murry and Minnie.
