John A. “Limey” Williams, 79, of Champion, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2026, in the Independence Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant.
He was born Dec. 13, 1946, in Hammersmith, London, England, a son of the late Thomas H. and Clara Williams. Prior to his retirement, Limey worked as a salesman. Limey loved to golf and was a former member of the Ligonier Country Club. He was also a former member of the Saltlick Township Volunteer Fire Department. Limey, along with his wife, Nancy, enjoyed traveling, especially to the beach at Garden City, S.C., where they spent many vacations. He enjoyed sharing meals with his family at various restaurants. He also enjoyed taking care of his pets.
Limey will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by his loving family, his wife of 55 years Nancy L. Peck Williams; his children Trisha Hall and husband Ben of Wallingford, Pa. and J.T. Williams and wife Lindsay of St. Louis, Mo.; his grandchildren Audrey and Paige Hall; his sister Enid Court of Kent, England; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Limey was predeceased by his brothers Jim and Ron Williams and his sister Vera Thomas.
