Vincenza Migliore, age 87, of Barrington, Illinois, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2026. Born on November 13, 1938, in Montevago, Sicily, Vincenza was the daughter of Antonia and Girolamo. After growing up in Montevago, Vincenza married Domenico Migliore on October 5, 1961. The following year, they immigrated to America together by boat, beginning a new life and building a future for their family. Vincenza and Domenico eventually operated several pizza restaurants before opening Fellini’s. For 40 years, Vincenza ran Fellini’s alongside her husband. She became much more than a familiar face to their customers. She was known and loved by so many for her warmth, kindness, and genuine care for the people who walked through the door. After four decades, Vincenza and Domenico retired. Her greatest joy, however, was always her family. Vincenza had an enormous love for her children and grandchildren and made sure they always knew it. She was the heart of the family, bringing everyone together for countless gatherings and treasured Monday dinners. When there were holidays or special occasions, Vincenza did not simply prepare for it; she went all out. She filled her home with food, decorations, laughter and love—especially at Christmas. Her home became a place where family gathered, traditions were continued, and the holidays felt truly magical. She was happiest in the kitchen, when cooking with or for her family. She lovingly prepared homemade pasta, sauce, artichokes, cannoli, cookies, and countless other family favorites. Many of the recipes and traditions she passed down are still carried on today, becoming cherished memories across generations. Vincenza was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Domenico Migliore, who passed away in 2020, and her brother, John Saccomanno. She is survived by her children, Vito (Maureen) Migliore, Gino (Angie) Migliore, Maryjo (Eric) Jones, and Cathy (Dave) Liszka; her grandchildren, Domenic Migliore, Gina (Brandon) Mays, John Migliore, James (Samantha) Migliore, Jesse (Malik) Dunner, Elijah Jones, Stella Jones, Emmett Jones, Gabriella Liszka, Hannah Liszka, and Isabella Liszka; and her great-grandchildren, Kylie, Kaleigha, Kamelaa, Avery, Natalie and Ella. Vincenza will be remembered for her enormous love for her family, generous and caring nature and the warmth she brought into the lives of everyone she touched. She created a lifetime of memories around her kitchen table and passed down not only recipes and traditions, but also the importance of family, togetherness, and showing love and kindness through the things she did for others.
