Lorraine Pilotte

December 28, 1942 — November 1, 2023

Lorraine J. (Desfosses) Pilotte, 80, of Manchester, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2023. She is the loving wife of Richard A. Pilotte with whom she shared 60 wonderful years of marriage.

Lorraine was born in Manchester on December 28, 1942 to the late Omer and Liliane (Levesque) Desfosses. Lorraine graduated from St. Anthony’s High School. She worked at Sylvania’s in Manchester while completing her studies at Labaran Hair Dressing Academy. A self-starter and entrepreneur, she became a hair stylist at a young age and worked for almost 60 years on the West Side of Manchester as owner and operator first of Coiffure’s Par Lorraine and then Absolute Styling hair salon, where she had many loyal and grateful clients.

More than anything, Lorraine valued her family and dedicated her life to creating a warm and loving home for her husband, children, and grandchildren. She looked forward to family vacations on Cape Cod and in Newport, RI. Lorraine was an avid bowler and poker player, but later in life enjoyed spending her time watching her Patriots and Red Sox at home or simply spending time with her grandchildren, whom she adored.

Along with her husband Richard, Lorraine is survived by her children, David Pilotte of Florida, Michele Pilotte of Westford, MA, and Kim-Marie Manseau and her husband Jeff of Candia; her grandchildren, Davis, Lauren, and Brooklynn Pilotte; brother Norman Desfosses; sister Yvette Paris; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. She is predeceased by her parents, and sister Lucille Godbois.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, November 7th from 4-7pm at The Phaneuf Funeral Home & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 8th at 10:00am at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 172 Belmont Street, Manchester. Interment in Mt.
