Mary “Lynne” Osterman

Mary “Lynne” Osterman was born on November 11, 1951, to Carl and Doris Ottobrino. She attended Beaverton schools and graduated from Beaverton High School in 1969. She continued her education at Oregon College of Education (B.A.) and Lewis & Clark (Master’s).

Lynne took great pride in being hired to teach K–12 by the same school district that had educated her. She knew from a young age that teaching would be her chosen profession.

Lynne paused her teaching career to raise two daughters along with her husband, Ed. When she was ready to return to the classroom, she earned a special education endorsement and continued doing the work she loved.

Lynne was a member of the Mt. Park Racquet Club in Lake Oswego for more than 25 years. Tennis and Jazzercise were lifelong passions. She enjoyed traveling and visited Europe, Vietnam, and Thailand, but nothing was as special as her many trips to Mexico and the Oregon coast.

Lynne passed away unexpectedly while spending time in one of her favorite places, Mexico.

The love she had for her daughters, Allison and Jill, and her four grandchildren was immeasurable. She took great joy in their accomplishments and never missed an opportunity to celebrate their successes.

She is survived by her daughters, Allison Osterman (husband Damon, granddaughters Fiona and Chloe) and Jill Rogers (husband Chad, grandson Jackie, and granddaughter Sloane); and her sisters, Laura Alanis and Natalie Ottobrino.
