Charity Golf Event Planning Resources

Participating in Alzheimer’s Research is a set of planning recommendations to help you coordinate your charity golf event to benefit Cure Alzheimer’s Fund.

The PAR booklet provides tips on managing a tournament budget, choosing a format, scheduling your event preparations and more. It is not a complete “how-to” instruction manual, but rather a collection of suggestions from people who have experience running golf events. Should you choose to hold a PAR event, you will want to make it your own, craft it to meet your needs—and know that you will run into obstacles or challenges we have not mentioned here!

This is meant only as a template to get you headed in the right direction.

One event can make a world of difference.

“Our grandfather has been living with this disease for many years, and his condition is getting worse. When we were young kids, he would take us out to teach us how to play golf. We love the game, but we can’t touch a club these days without thinking of him and how sick he has gotten.

“We looked for the right cause to support and, after our own research, we realized Cure Alzheimer’s Fund was the one!

“We have raised over $125,000 in our two events. The response from our friends and family has been tremendous.

“It is great to know that 100 percent of what we raised goes right to the science—no one is taking their ‘slice’ out of the proceeds.

“We look forward to the day when we hold an event to celebrate the end of Alzheimer’s disease.”

How can I help?

People affected by Alzheimer’s are getting together across the country and planning PAR golf tournaments for Cure Alzheimer’s Fund. Though a considerable amount of time and planning are required for a golf tournament, the rewards of being part of the fight against this horrible disease are enormous.

Whom do I contact to get my PAR booklet?

Call Mike or Laurel at 781-237-3800.

What do I do with any money I have raised already?
