Alzheimer’s Wellness Day

Posted May 28, 2015

The Bethlehem Recreation Department will be hosting a Wellness Day on June 20th. We would like to honor the strength, passion and endurance of those facing Alzheimer’s disease, which is the sixth leading cause of death in the United States.

Would you be interested in running an event on June 20 to help us promote an understanding of cognitive health in our community? An event could be a group knitting circle, painting, gardening, yoga, swimming or even a bike ride – anything that promotes wellness and wellbeing. The National Institute on Aging says that certain activities such as keeping mentally active and maintain strong social connections might lower the risk of cognitive decline and Alzheimer’s.

If you are interested in holding an event on this day, please email us using the button above or call (603) 869-3351.

If you wish to make a donation for the fight against Alzheimer’s, please consider giving through the Cure Alzheimer’s Fund where 100% of the proceeds go directly toward research. Click here to make a donation.
