RUNNING THE NEW YORK CITY MARATHON FOR CURE ALZHEIMER’S FUND

I am running the NYC Marathon on November 4 this year. I was granted entry through the lottery, so I wasn’t required to raise money for a charity in order to run. However, after I started training, I decided it’d be a great way to raise some money and awareness and give me more motivation on race day.

I’m raising money for the Cure Alzheimer’s Fund in memory of my late grandmother, Dandy. 100% of funds go directly to research to find a cure for Alzheimer’s. Their goal to stop the disease through early prediction, prevention, and effective intervention is so powerful. I think it’s important to focus on research to treat and ultimately end the disease, especially as a genetic disease so that families don’t have to continue to suffer for generations to come.

I’m grateful for any and all support to continue Cure Alzheimer’s Fund’s incredible work. This will be my first marathon, and I know thinking of Dandy as her fullest and brightest self will push me to the finish line!
