Xinyu (Simon) Wu is the founder and president of Music for Awakening, a non-profit student membership group that performs music at many care centers and children centers in Shanghai. Several of these centers are for Alzheimer’s patients. As an accomplished pianist, he uses his music to awaken precious memories in persons with Alzheimer’s and bring smiles back to their faces. Seeing the pain and loneliness of Alzheimer’s disease created to patients, Wu started his fundraising efforts for Cure Alzheimer’s Fund in support of medical research for better and more effective way of treating this disease.
As of May 2020, $4,500 has been raised through Simon’s efforts. Thank you!
