Beverly Nyberg Dockstader

Ann Eleanor Nyberg Dockstader, 82, died on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at the Pine Knoll Nursing Center in Lexington, MA. She was born on June 16, 1932 in Cambridge, MN. She is survived by her husband, Tod Allen Dockstader, of Arlington, MA, whom she met when they both attended the University of Minnesota.  They were married for 60 years.

She is also survived by her daughter, Christina Dare Dockstader Kinard, her son-in-law, Randy E. Kinard, and her grandchildren, Charlotte D. Kinard and Paul A. Kinard, all of Lexington, MA.  Also surviving are her brother, Lyle Nyberg of Willmar, MN and many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Beverly was a long time resident of Westport, CT where she lived for 44 years before moving to Lexington in 2009.  After graduating from college and marrying Tod in 1954, she worked as an elementary school teacher in Beverly Hills, CA and then as an executive assistant in New York City.  She continued to work in both professions, part-time, while living in Westport.

She was an accomplished pianist and taught piano to children. She loved singing, sewing, knitting, and reading.  She also enjoyed sailing on Long Island Sound and antiquing with her husband Tod.  She was a kind, creative and vibrant woman who was a dedicated wife and mother.

A memorial service will be planned to celebrate both Beverly and Tod at a later date.
