Carlo F. Viola, Jr., known to all as Corky, died on September 21, 2022, at 79 years of age. Corky grew up in Vineland, New Jersey where he met Joanne Lubin. They were married in 1965. He was a graduate of Lehigh University and worked 32 years with E. I. DuPont de Nemours and Company, retiring in 1998. A resident of old New Castle since 1969, Corky had a passion for historic buildings and volunteered with preservation organizations. In 2003, Corky was elected to the Trustees of New Castle Common where he served for 17 years. A service will be held on Sunday, October 23 at 1:00 pm at the New Castle Presbyterian Church, followed by a celebration of Cork’s life at the Penn Farm. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Cure Alzheimer’s Fund.
