Clifford C. Duff of Higgins Lake, formerly of Warren, passed away on November 10, 2021 at the age of 85. Clifford, husband of Barbara (deceased earlier this year) for 65 years and brother to Barbara Rudowski and Patricia Avery (deceased), father to Jill Marcotte (Andrew) and Clifford J Duff (Laura), will be greatly missed by all including his grandchildren Joel Marcotte and Gina, Jaclyn and James Duff.
Clifford was born in Detroit on March 1, 1936. He made his own path and had many adventures since he was a small boy. As an adult, he was dedicated to getting things right and became a valued member of the scientific staff and a commonsense mentor to researchers at the GM Tech Center. He was happiest around his family and friends and has created a legacy of fun and family at the cottage, which he built with his own hands, at Higgins Lake. He will also be remembered for his eclectic collection of automobiles, motorcycles, snowmobiles and boats, Christmas shorts, unique shirts, snow-birding with his wife Barbara in Gulf Shores Alabama, his ability to fix anything that was broken – and the idea that anything is possible if you work at it long and hard enough. Per his wishes a family-only memorial service will take place at Higgins Lake, MI. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Cure Alzheimer’s Fund.
