William Foster Bell went to join his wife, Betty Boles Bell, on Thursday evening, December 6, 2018, in Denton. Bill was a lifelong resident of Denton Texas, born to Willie Perkins and Alice Foster Bell on October 15, 1928.
He attended Denton High School and the University of North Texas, earning a Master’s Degree. He taught wood shop and math at Denton Junior High (Calhoun M.S.) and later taught and counseled at Denton High School retiring in 1989 to enjoy traveling. He was well loved by many, many students, teachers, and parents. He was known for his optimism and perennial good mood. He never met a stranger and always offered a hand to all. Bill was a member of the Singing Oaks Church of Christ.
He is survived by his daughters – Leigh Bell Smith and husband, L.N. Smith; Susan Bell Amos and husband, David Amos; and Nancy Bell Storrie and husband, David Storrie. As well as, twelve grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Bill is preceded in death by his wife and son, William F. Bell, Jr.
