Kumar is the Founder and former Chairman and CEO of Cognizant Technology Solutions. Under his leadership, Cognizant grew from a startup to a globally recognized leader in IT services and delivered a return on investment of more than 15,000%. After Cognizant, Mr. Mahadeva co-founded the Kubera Cross Border Fund, an offshore private equity fund traded on the London Stock Exchange. He also serves on the boards of private IT services companies, several non-profit foundations, and the Harvard Business School international advisory board. Kumar brings extensive expertise in information technology and a track record of operations improvement, strategy management and hands-on operations.
Kumar graduated from Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration with distinction and Cambridge University with an M.A., first class honors, in Physics and Electrical Engineering.
