Niklas Hagemann, Ph.D.

Postdoctoral Researcher, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health


Dr. Niklas Hagemann will be a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health starting January 2026. Dr. Hagemann obtained his Ph.D. in Biostatistics at the University of Cologne, Germany, focusing on the development and enhancement of biostatistical methods. His doctoral research was mostly conducted in the field of model-based equivalence testing, investigating whether two groups are equivalent or not with regard to the effect of an influencing factor. Besides this, he also developed biostatistical methods for other research areas, such as survival analysis. In addition, he provided statistical consulting for clinical research projects, including projects on neurological disorders. Prior to his doctoral research, Dr. Hagemann obtained a Master’s degree in applied statistics at the Georg August University Göttingen, Germany, with statistical testing, regression modeling, and simulation methods being his focus areas.
