Sudha Seshadri, M.D.

Professor and Founding Director of the Glenn Biggs Institute for Alzheimer’s and Neurodegenerative Diseases, The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio


Professor Sudha Seshadri is a behavioral neurologist who treats patients with memory concerns and dementia, and a physician-scientist whose goal is to understand and develop better treatments for these diseases. Her research is in genetic epidemiology, and she is a founding Principal Investigator of the Alzheimer’s Disease Sequencing Project. She is the founding Director of the Glenn Biggs Institute for Alzheimer’s and Neurodegenerative Diseases and of the South Texas Alzheimer Disease Research Center, as well as a Senior Investigator in the 75-year-old Framingham Heart Study. She initiated the Framingham Heart Study and the South Texas ADRC operations and oversees the clinical aspects, including recruitment, clinical data collation, clinic-pathological correlation, and return of autopsy findings to families.
