In his presentation, Dr. Rudolph Tanzi shares the latest in Alzheimer’s disease research, treatment, and prevention, and explains how lifestyle strategies can help lower the risk for the disease and keep the brain healthy.


 

 

Dr. Tanzi is the Joseph P. and Rose F. Kennedy Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School. At Massachusetts General Hospital, he is the Director of the Genetics and Aging Research Unit, the Director of the McCance Center for Brain Health, and the Co-Director of the MassGeneral Institute for Neurodegeneration.

Dr. Tanzi serves as the Chair of the Cure Alzheimer’s Fund Research Leadership Group. He discovered numerous Alzheimer’s disease genes, including the first three early-onset Alzheimer’s genes, as well as several other brain disease genes. Dr. Tanzi directs the Cure Alzheimer’s Fund Alzheimer’s Genome Project™ and is developing novel therapeutics for Alzheimer’s disease using human brain organoid models.  Learn more about his work supported by Cure Alzheimer’s Fund here.
