CNN will be airing the Larry King special “Unthinkable: the Alzheimer’s Epidemic” on Sunday, May 1 at 8:00 PM in most time zones. King will explore Alzheimer’s disease, the people it affects, its impact on their families, the latest in treatment, and why it is critical to find a cure for this devastating disease.

His first broadcast since leaving his long running prime time talk show, King will talk with a host of celebrities who have been touched by Alzheimer’s including former First Lady Laura Bush and California’s former First Lady and Alzheimer’s activist Maria Shriver; actors Seth Rogen, and Angie Dickinson; TV host Leeza Gibbons; football star Terrell Owens and Ron Reagan, son of President Ronald Reagan.

King will highlight treatments and what people can do to diminish their risk for Alzheimer’s when he visits the Frank Gehry-designed Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health at the Cleveland Clinic in Las Vegas. King will meet with Dr. Jeffrey Cummings, Director of the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health, and philanthropist Larry Ruvo, who funded the Center.
