Certified yoga instructor Sarina Awatramani wanted to honor her grandfather through her passion for teaching yoga. To do so, she created “Flow for a Cure,” a special yoga event.
“This November marked five years since my grandfather passed away after battling Alzheimer’s in his later years. His journey with Alzheimer’s taught me the importance of cherishing moments with the people we love. With this in mind, I decided to host a yoga class in his honor. I became a certified yoga instructor this year, and with this new platform, I thought there was no better way to contribute to finding a cure for Alzheimer’s. I found Cure Alzheimer’s Fund, was inspired by their commitment to drive meaningful research, and knew that it was where I wanted the class donations to go. It was so special to share a practice I love at my favorite studio, in honor of this cause, and with so many amazing people!” said Sarina.
