Anthony John Turco

Anthony J. Turco, beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and dedicated Attorney, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Tuesday September 9, 2025 at the age of 85. Born on March 28, 1940, in Westerly, Rhode Island, the son of the late Antonio and Carmela Turco, Anthony was the youngest of eight children, all who were first generation Italian-Americans.

Anthony attended high school at LaSalle Academy in Providence, Rhode Island. Upon finishing Lasalle Academy, he went on to attend Providence College, an experience that shaped his lifelong values of faith, perseverance, and loyalty. After graduating from Providence College in 1961, Anthony proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Upon completing his service from the Army, Anthony moved to Boston, Massachusetts, to attend Suffolk Law School. While attending law school, he met his soon to be wife, Carolyn Mogavero. Anthony and Carolyn married in November of 1968. Anthony was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in May of 1969 and actively practiced law for well over 50 years. The Law Office of Anthony J. Turco in Danvers, Massachusetts served many members of the community with integrity, honesty and compassion. Known for his sharp mind and steadfast dedication to his clients, he built a reputation as both a skilled professional and a trusted advocate.

Anthony was a very proud Italian, who embraced his heritage and culture. He also loved spending time at the Salem Country Club, where he was actively involved.

Above all, Anthony cherished his family. He was blessed to share almost 58 years of marriage with his devoted wife, Carolyn, whose love and partnership were at the heart of his life. Together they bult a family that was truly Anthony’s pride and joy. He was a proud father of five children: Anthony Turco Jr., and his late wife, Debbie, and their children: Anthony, Olivia, Sophia, and Sam; Christopher “Kip” Turco and his wife, Tracey, and their children: Christopher, Isabella, and Audrey; Charles Turco and his wife, Rebecca, and their children: Ella and Ansel; Peter Turco and his wife Lisa, and their children: Thomas and Charlotte; and Carolyn Turco and her children: Gabriella and Gavin. His greatest joy was being a grandfather and watching his family grow, carrying forward his values of love, perseverance, and faith.

Anthony will be remembered for his quiet strength, devotion to family, his service to others, and his unwavering commitment to doing what was right. His legacy will live on in the lives of his wife, children, grandchildren, and all who knew him.
