In Loving Memory of Augusto Medina
Augusto Medina was born in the Philippines where he spent his childhood with his loving family. He was the sixth child of the late Gen. & Mrs. Florencio A. Medina. Augusto was known for his cheerful personality and infectious smile that always brightened up everyone’s day. He had a great sense of humor and never failed to leave people laughing after his clever jokes. His kind and friendly nature will be missed dearly.
Augusto earned his undergraduate and master’s degrees in Chemistry from the University of the Philippines and later completed his Ph.D. from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. He had a successful career with the Coca-Cola Company spanning over 30 years. After his wife’s passing and retirement, Augusto moved to Athens, Georgia, to be closer to his son Terrance, his wife Amanda, and their daughter Eliza.
Unfortunately, in his later years, Augusto was diagnosed with ear cancer and later suffered from Dementia. He faced these challenges with immense strength and courage. Augusto is survived by his two loving sons, Trevor & Terrance, daughter-in-law, granddaughter, seven siblings, and several nieces & nephews.
Augusto Medina will always be remembered for his positive attitude, lively spirit, and compassionate heart. May his soul rest in peace.
