Louise Lowery

Louise Marie Lowery, 77, born in Chesapeake, Virginia, was residing in Lawton, Oklahoma, when she lost her battle with dementia and went to be with the Lord on February 9th, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Louise was born on February 9, 1949, to Herman Kappes and Elise Kappes. She lived a life deeply rooted in her Christian faith and was a devoted servant of God. Louise found great joy in worship, prayer, and sharing the love of Christ with everyone she encountered. She was a faithful member of Westwood Baptist Church, in Lawton, Oklahoma where she served in the children’s ministry, sang Sunday hymns, and uplifted others through her kindness and testimony.

Her life was a reflection of grace, compassion, and unwavering faith. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and spiritual example to her family. Louise helped raise her grandchildren in the church, always reminding them to trust God and walk in his light.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Danie Lowery (her primary caregiver); her children, Mark Lowery, Beth Szatkowski (secondary caregiver), and Danielle Lowe; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Herman Kappes and Elise Kappes.

Though her family grieves her earthly absence, they rejoice in knowing she is resting in eternal peace with her Savior. We know she has been comforted with the words: “Well done, good and faithful servant.” – Matthew 25:23
