Robert Clinton Hudspeth, 76, of Venice, FL passed away at home on March 9, 2019. Bobby was born on July 9, 1942, in Washington, DC to Mary and Daniel Hudspeth. He retired from his own company, RCH Courier Service, in 2012 and moved to Venice with his wife, Barbara, in 2017 after finding their dream home. He loved their adventures together and treasured time spent with family and friends.
Bobby was an avid fan of the Washington Redskins and Nationals and of the Green Bay Packers and was a Redskins season ticket holder for decades; he enjoyed attending their games and tailgating with friends. He excelled at trivia, especially with his extensive knowledge of sports, and was a loyal fan of Jeopardy every night. Bobby loved music, especially Buddy Holly, The Beatles, and Billy Joel, and attending concerts and tribute band performances. Bobby was a loving and giving soul and enjoyed volunteering at church both in Virginia and Venice, building deep and lasting friendships. He was also well-known for his corny sense of humor and for being the nicest guy around.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years, Barbara; daughter and son-in-law, Victoria and Alexander Rivera; sister and brother-in-law, Susan and David Landman; and many nieces and nephews. He will be missed dearly.
