Andrew Koemeter-Cox joined Cure Alzheimer’s Fund in 2025 with nearly a decade of experience in neurodegeneration research funding management. Before joining CureAlz, he briefly served as a Program Director at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, after spending six years at the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s research. At the Fox Foundation, he managed research on novel targets, alpha-synuclein biology, inflammation, and environmental risk factors. Prior to joining the Fox Foundation, Andrew spent two years at the Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation.
Andrew earned his Ph.D. in Biomedical Science from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and did his postdoctoral work at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
