Alban Gaultier, Ph.D.

Associate Professor, Department of Neuroscience and the Center for Brain Immunology and Glia (BIG) at the University of Virginia


Dr. Gaultier is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Neuroscience and the Center for Brain Immunology and Glia (BIG) at the University of Virginia. Dr. Gaultier received his Ph.D. from the Université Pierre et Marie Curie (France) in 2002. He completed his postdoctoral training at the University of California, San Diego, where he studied the function of LRP1. In Fall 2012, Dr. Gaultier joined the University of Virginia to launch his lab, which focuses on understanding the mechanisms involved in initiating and progressing neurodegenerative diseases.
