Matthieu Drouyer, Ph.D.

Research Officer, Children’s Medical Research Institute, Australia

Dr. Matthieu Drouyer is a molecular biologist specializing in Adeno-Associated Virus (AAV) vector engineering for gene therapy targeting the central and peripheral nervous systems. He has extensive experience in AAV capsid design, production, and characterization, including the development of vectors capable of crossing the blood-brain barrier. Dr. Drouyer has led preclinical projects involving in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo models, and his work integrates advanced molecular biology techniques such as directed evolution, rational design, and peptide display libraries.
